Another FBI case has completely unraveled, proving once more that today’s bureau is nothing more than a politicized federal agency whose primary mission is to entrap enemies of the regime and jail them in any way possible.
You may recall during the summer of 2020, when Antifa and BLM thugs were burning cities and attacking supporters of then-President Donald Trump in the name of ‘social justice’ for George Floyd that the FBI claimed to have uncovered a “conspiracy” to kidnap unpopular Democratic Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan.
To many of us, the alleged plot sounded farcical from the get-go: A group of Michigan ‘militia’ guys had somehow made a detailed plan and assembled the resources to snatch the heavily guarded Whitmer from her summer home, take her to an undisclosed location while blowing up a bridge in the process to cover their escape. Literally, they make movies about plots like that — and the antagonists are always well-trained, well-financed, and well-versed in criminal activity.
They aren’t a bunch of good ol’ boys from an upper Midwestern state.
In any event, the FBI paid an informant to essentially set up this ‘kidnapping’ so the bureau could use the arrests as a political weapon against Trump (who was already cruising to victory and would have won had the election not been stolen from him) — a sort of, ‘See? See? See what kind of violence Trump stirs up?‘
Early on, a couple of group members pleaded guilty to trumped-up charges, but four others told the Justice Department where it could go and hired attorneys. And on Friday, a jury returned a “not guilty” verdict for two of them, while deadlocking on two others.
Brandon Caserta and Daniel Harris were arrested in October and charged along with four others of conspiring to kidnap Whitmer over her handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. The jury ruled both men not guilty on the charge, as well as cleared Harris on three other related charges, including a conspiracy to use a “weapon of mass destruction” charge that carried a potential life sentence in prison.
“Best birthday gift ever,” Caserta, who was acquitted on his birthday, reportedly told the courtroom in Grand Rapids, Mich., after the jury’s verdict was announced.
Harris’ father, Robert, who watched the month-long court proceedings from the public seating area of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Michigan, declared after the verdict, “We are so elated! Unbelievable amount of people praying through this whole ordeal. God is so good!’
Meanwhile, the jury’s deliberations for two other defendants in the case — Adam Fox and Barry Croft — ended in a mistrial, meaning the government failed to get even a single conviction in this sham case.
“Although we are disappointed the jury did not reach decisions in our favor, we continue to respect the jury trial system whatever the outcome. And we thank the jury for their service,” U.S. Attorney for the Western District of Michigan Andrew Birge said in a statement following the verdict. “Two defendants now await re-trial and, for that reason, we have no further statement at this time.”
The jury began deliberations on Monday, finally reaching their decisions on Friday.
“In America, there’s a lot of things you can do. You can criticize the government publicly, absolutely,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Nils Kessler told jurors at the time. “If you don’t like the government’s policies, you can protest them. If you don’t like elected leaders, you can vote them out at the ballot box. What you can’t do is kidnap them, kill them, or blow them up.”
But apparently, that was never any real plan.
If there is a better example of how the FBI has become nothing more than a political ‘enforcer’ for the left-wing deep state, we can’t think of one.
